Sunday morning talk show.. one of the hosts said Canada is strongest humanitarian professional org.

Someone was talking about Germany be a peace keeper after the war and this other person spoke up and said Canada was much better than any of the others.

I agree, the security council needs to be changed. Do away with the veto's, its not democratic. The biggest problem with the UN, is that the only superpower in the world only uses it when it see's fit. The US government has demonstrated time and time again, that if things are in their self-interest they have no problems tossing the UN or international agreements aside (ala Kyoto, anti-ballistic missle treaty, land mine ban's, etc).

However, when it comes time to pay for this war, or look after those affected, the US government will have no qualms about setting up to the UN altar.
