Laz, I, too, have been a critic of the Clinton Administration. But not for the same reasons as you disdain his presidency. If you examine the Gore v. Bush SI threads, you'll find ample evidence of Clinton criticism from me. However, on a comparative scale with Bush, when it comes to thinking and world peace, Bush is clearly a minor leaguer whose only propped up by those who groomed him and who now advise him.

The proof of this rests in the fact that a diplomatic solution existed for the Iraq crisis, and the whole world was on board to have one. But, unfortunately, America was gonna invade Iraq even before 9/11, this according to the architects of this war of whom Bush relies upon. Read Bob Woodward's new book!

Honestly....I don't really hold Carter or Clinton responsible for failed events or for things going on today. I think they did what they thought needed to be done at the time even if we now feel they should have done more. The point is that just like Clinton and Carter - Bush is doing what he believes needs to be done for the United States and its people. I realize that there are some who don't approve but I think the numbers of true anti-war advocates is MUCH lower than the number of Anti-Bush marchers. To me thats disturbing because that means many to most of the protesters are taking advantage of a truly ugly thing (war) in an effort to advance a political agenda. Mark my words.....Tom Daschel will pay with his job for the remarks he made earlier this week. Thats what happens when an opportunist miscalculates and swoops on an event like this to advance an agenda.
