John, as I said earlier, I'm sure there are good hearted people who simply believe what they believe. I give them the courage of their convictions.

The issues you point out in reply though, I find quite dangerous. You may understand these issues and have made a decision that they matter not to you. My point though was I believe very few even understand the issues.

So Answer, whatever it may stand for, however it gets its funding, is not a basis to criticize demonstrations the point of which is simply to protest the invasion

I believe this "organization" to be a socialist, anti-Semetic group. I wonder if not understanding this or, as you've chosen to do, ignoring it isn't dangerous.

... it doesn't really matter who we are marching arm and arm with. The point is to make a point to protest the invasion. The demonstrations exist only as demonstrations. They are not a political movement ...

Pardon me, if you involve yourself in public demonstrations it does matter who you march arm in arm with. You may not have an agenda but rest assured, others do. To not understand that again, I find dangerous.

these demonstrations are not supporting Answer, they are not supporting the many mainline church organizations that help do the organizing, they are not supporting the many unions that help do the organizing, they are not supporting, I don't know, you name it.

Again John, you may believe this, I find it a weak argument for ignoring reality.

I'll tell you who and what they support ....

They support inflaming anti-Americanism both in Europe and the Middle East.

They support anti-semitism.

They support the old world, worn out, forlorn socialism of the French.

They support Hussein who is using it as the core of his strategy ... stall for time, hoping that Chirac can save his bloodthirsty ass.

Finally, I believe they support the history of this regime in Iraq which speaks for itself. I find that dangerous; not for those partying in the streets but for those dying in Iraq these many years.
