It takes time to establish a democracy in a country with no democratic traditions like Afghanistan or Iraq.

<< I'm all for democracy for the Iraqi people. But this is not what Bush is going to give them... >>

Right now the Iraqis are living in a concentration camp, called Iraq. They are systematically tortured. They live in fear. Tens of thousands of Iraqi children are deliberately starved to death by the Saddam regime. You would prefer the people to continue to live in misery, rather than what Bush going to give them? What is Bush going to give them?

<< Especially if it's the same "democracy" that the Afghanis now have. >>

Things are so much better for the Afghan people, than it was, especially in Kabul. Girls can now go to school. Women can now work. Women were slowly starved and beaten to death under the Taliban.

It's going to take a long time to reverse the damage that Russia did to Afghanistan.

What is your informed complaint about Afghanistan? What is it that you would do, that we are not currently doing? How did you get all your knowledge and experience in nation building? Did you study Deming's work in Japan?
