Our new crop, from various Turd World nations, are not similarly educated.

Seems to me that your beef should be with the education system then, not immigration.

Tim, <Anyone who claims that Americans are cannon fodder so that Park Yung Fuk of Hyundai can be the latest Chaebol Billionaire needs to be sent back on the next boat to South Korea so he can dig trenches along the DMZ to defend his country.>

1) Stop putting words into my mouth. I never said cheap DRAM is worth American lives, and you know it.

2) I was born here. I don't need to be sent "back" anywhere, unless you'd like to also be sent "back" to Europe.

3) I know enough about American Civics and American history to form my own opinions. I know it's tough, seeing an educated non-white American, but try and open your mind a little.

4) Finally, if you don't like American troops being stationed abroad, I suggest you vote against the politicians who do. Either that, or join the protesters out there. Be warned; they might demonstrate a level of education lower than you can tolerate.

Tim,

re: When 3 of my 4 grandparents immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1800s and early 1900s...

My ancestors beat yours. Good thing mine were more tolerant than you are.

re: Our new crop, from various Turd World nations, are not similarly educated. Maybe none of the younger generation is.

Frankly, the immigrants are much better educated, especially wrt the constitution and American history, than the home grown variety "younger generation". Take a few hours of your precious time and go to a local ceremony where they swear in new US citizens; it's amazing. And you might remember some of the very productive folks that are and were involved in Intel, that were not born in Montana or New York or California.

There is this thing about 1st or 2nd generation Americans, that they seem to support the government no matter what. Never figured that out.

Bush sure does sound like an idiot when he talks about how Iraq was/is a threat to the US. Does ANYBOBY in the world buy that?
