If somebody goes into a casino, walks over to a roulette table, puts his rent money on 00, and loses it, we don't say, "hey, hindsight's a bitch." We say, "you irresponsible idiot!"

If somebody suggests the country do something similar, with lots of blood and treasure at stake, we say, "you irresponsible and dangerous idiot! I sure hope you don't get into a position where you can actually shape national policy!"
