That's exactly right. You remember when I said that there is a deep cultural problem in Arab countries? This is part of it. They are skeptical of anyone who tries to help and the blame everyone else for their problems. That's the Arab street. Then the Arab governments are woefully incapable of creating institutions that are beholden to the people. I wish I knew what the answer was to their problems, but I think it begins in Iraq. When you have the brightest shining democracy in the history of the world come in and take over a country in the heart of the Arab world, that's going to cause a ripple effect. It will silence the enemies, because they'll feel the imminent threat of them being next. And it will inspire the good people to take bold steps towards reform. I think this may be a watershed in history that could lead to long term peace. Or it could be a disaster. It all depends on how we handle post-war. I wish Bush had more time to do what needs to be done there, but I have doubts that he'll get re-elected.
