the point is that Ritter's credentials were used to make the argument more credible, when in fact that he is a compromised expert. And Frankly Bush, Rumsfeld and Perle seem to be accomplishing exactly what they intended and are therefore are not "incompetents", unlike the bunch of armchair message board politician/diplomat/strategists who would choose to criticize that which they do not understand.

not to mention that I doubt very seriously that you give a rat's ass about our troops anyway.

Wake-up call

It's not that they restarted the simulation, it's that they precluded "Saddam" from thinking outside of their proscribed box - i.e. let's simulate a real war, but no surprises allowed.
