After a steady advance of over 250 miles in 7 days the I st Marines have been stopped in their tracks and are now bogged down against the Walls of Baghdad, a city of 5 million which Saddam has shifted to place it directly in front of the Marine's march to the North
Commanders are now debating how to overcome the obstacle that Saddam has so cunningly placed in their way.
