CB, Vietnam war "fought stupidly". Its a war that could not be won fought against a nationalism we just did not understand being blinded by an anti-communism that did not take into account local dynamics. Only way to have won in vietnam was to tow it out to sea and nuke it and of course that would be no victory at all. The real obscentity is that our leaders knew this and didnt cut a deal earlier. If iraq somehow morphed into vietnam, which it wont, i would hope this current team would value the lives of our soldiers more than their reelection. mike
