I just find it silly to say the Israelis are the only side with a thirst or skill for blood letting. Seems the Palestinians have been fairly successful at that task as well. I feel they are both equally guilty, since it will be impossible to get either to stop without the other stopping the violence as well - I find it stupid and disgusting for anyone who genuinely desires peace in the region to take sides. You may feel that both sides are equally guilty but like many in this country, its the Palestinians and now an American woman who seem to bear the brunt of American accusations and suspicions. And why? The suicide bombers deeply offend us.....understandably........their behavior is over the top. Unfortunately, our upset stops there. If you were to look deeper, you will find there are reasons for a people to become so desperate that they blow themselves up, and its not because of Allah and the 7 virgins that everyone jokes about. Well, I have read the background of this dispute and there is definitely wrong doing on both sides but now the Israelis hold all the cards.......and are playing those cards for all they're worth. Not only do they have the Palestinians at their beck and call but they are playing with them like a cat plays with its prey; to whit, Sharon has repeatedly gone on national tv and said that the Palestinians will never have an independent state but if they behave themselves, they may have a good life where the Israelis and Palestinians are friends..........or the US tells Sharon......no more building in the West Bank, and a month later, he starts a new subdivision. Sharon is evil and needs to be sacked but the Israelis cling to him like rats to a sinking ship. And the only way he gets away with this shit is because he has the US's support. No good can come from our continued support of this piglet. ted
