Speaking of placing weapons in civilian areas, during WWII, we had a German tank parked in front of our house for some time. It wasn't there because it was a civilian area (all was fair back then) but because we had a big walnut tree in front of out house, which provided a good cover. The US dropped a few bombs in general vicinity, but didn't hit anything, just broke a lot of windows. You lived through WWI? I didn't realize that......when did you emigrate to the States? ted
