Do you assume that a majority of Republican guards are interested in self sacrifice for this regime? It seems that there are a large # of fanatics who may be using coercive meathods to get a much larger number of soldiers to fight. Is it possible that the majority of RGs may not be interested in self sacrifice and could turn on the fanatics?

At some point, hopefully sooner than later, the overwhelming majority of Iraqi troops might realize that there is more risk in going against our forces than in turning on the more hardcore elements of the regime. It can't be hard for them to see that they are being sacrificed on division levels here.

As far as the coming fighting for Baghdad. Will is be easier to lay down their guns or take on our armed forces?
If they have guns at their backs, will is be more desireable to turn on the hardline elements of the regime or to fight with us?
