I live in the Bay Area and my life partner quickly pointed out to me The San Francisco Chronicle article on stress you quoted from.

She has also "lashed" out at me about Bush and the war, but at least she has the added excuse that she and I do not agree with what is going on.

Interesting for me how apoplectic my "neighbors" are getting over the IRAQ war. REminds me of my continuing reaction to Clinton.

It also reminds me (and I find it curious) how many of these neighbors supported the bombing of innocent people in Serbia. Guess the "cause" matters less than who is doing it.

On the latter point, it is bringing up for some people how Bush is "not the president, really."

I respect many of the arguments on the "anti-war" side, but I am continually amazed at the way people out this way underestimate Bush's intelligence and political skill and his resolve once he has chosen his course of action. Also, they underestimate how much (really how very, very much) 9/11/01 changed things.

That's my take.
