Hey matthew -- yeah -- like we conquered Kuwait.

How convenient that you forget that in 1991 we were minding our own business -- Saddam decides to occupy a country and start executing its residents, the USA shows up, Saudi Arabia is thrilled that we do (Cuz THEY WERE NEXT on Saddams list !!) and our soldiers proceed to give their lives for a country they probably hadn't heard of the year before.

When we forced the Iraqis out -- the Kuwaitis got their country back.

Oh yeah -- did I mention that before they left Kuwait -- the Iraqis set fire to hundreds of oil wells ? Oh yeah -- you probably forgot that too.

Thanks for being so sympathetic to Iraq, despite their record.

Hey Matthew -- if you like to reference reports from the UK press -- I saw a news report on CNN from a female ITN reporter in Umm Qasr. She was with the Brits who were distributing food and water to civilians.

But she reported she had to leave when Iraqi soldiers started firing into the crowd.

Something for you to think about.
