Thanks for the hospitality Scott. I like your idea better than dragging hundreds of thousands of soldiers half way around the world...but in general I stand with Mark Twain -- Violence is the last refuge of incompetent. I have lived through many dangerous situations, many of them in the current hot spots. Yet rarely did I need to resort to violence. Relative to their purchasing power, we have offered Afghans $25,000,000,000 (yes that is 9 zeros) just to tell us where Osama is. And nothing has come out of it. Do you really think Bush would have still been around if the situation was reversed? My point is that so long as we have not won the hearts and minds of those people, we will never win this war. Even if you get rid of Osama, you will deal with worse version of him later on. ST
