They don't want some of the oil, they want it all and who was a juicier target with more reasons to invade than Saddam.... Our "friends" would still be our friends if they got the cut they wanted...... Russia lost a 30B contract with Saddam that I don't imagine the US would guarantee, and I can easily envision France losing in a similar way.... The spoils in this war are incredibily huge, and world knows it.....Follow the money...... Halliburton's doing well already, they have the nonbid on contract to put out the well fires, and they got a huge contract for post-war rebuilding..... I assume you know the Halliburton connection.

IT'S not just the oil. They also want the power and political favor that comes with a military victory. Before 9/11, this administration had low approval. They want to hold onto the approval that comes with military victory.
