Alan You are still waiting for death to be conquered? The bible teaches that it is already conquered. Death - as in the grave - was overthrown when Christ set them free in the resurrection from the grave(death). Paul teaches that this would be accomplished at the very same time that the rest of what Christ promised would happen "within that generation" happened. People complain that they did not "see" the resurrection. They saw all that God intended them to see - in fact Josephus ( the historian ) claims that they did see angels in the sky when Christ returned and destroyed "his enemies" the unbelieving Jews. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Alan - these verse teach that the "VICTORY" over death is accomplished WHEN the 'rapture' or "Translation" would occur. Paul says it is DONE THEN. It can not still be sought if it is already done. You again are looking for an ALL when there is none. Jesus said satan WAS BOUND - yet he continued to deal with both him and his demons There was no ALL in that binding - it was not ABSOLUTE. The victory over death is not about the physical body.. The physical body did not "DIE IN THE DAY THAT YOU EAT OF IT" More carnal thinking.
