Patricia (and everyone else against this war)... Open your minds and think objectively for a few minutes while you're reading this analysis..

And most especially, pay attention to their analysis of the human cost of containment versus conflict:

And then think about why Bin Laden and Al Qaida targeting the US on 9/11 (or at least their excuse for doing so)..

They resented the presence of US troops on "holy soil", namely Saudi Arabia. And that troop presence existed primarily to protect Kuwait and Saudi Arabia from further agression by Saddam..

So one can readily add in the $100 Billion in physical damage, as well as multi-Trillions in lost stock market value, to the cost of containment we've already suffered..

But again.. pay attention to the human cost in Iraq, and how much their per capita GDP has declined since Saddam came to power.
