No matter what one does in life, there are always those there to second guess.

My understanding is that the plan had the input of all active, senior officers involved in this war. I think these younger officers are more flexible and more in tune with today's world than the armchair generals from WW2 picking up a few bucks on cable TV.

In reality, I agree with Rumsfeld regarding smaller, quicker armies.

The enemy of tomorrow won't be marching a million man army out there to do battle.

The enemy of the future requires the ability to react quickly and strike surgically.

Same game .. different rules.
