Calais, Me as I remember wasn't much bigger than a truck stop.. and I believe my father told me many from St. Stephen came across daily to work in the Calais area. Maybe in some of the wood mills.

As for Floridians I thought it was more part of Canadians . I always had the opinion that some of the towns down there were all Canadians.. Must ask my PEI cousins who are now down there for a month.. ha

Yes, too much between us to let something like this start up... It is really crazy... I remember we wouldsend up auditors to Presque Isle Maine who spoke French as most of the town then was Canadian speaking French..
