MJ, good quote by Jefferson. Wish 2Mars would look at quotes by famous people under great duress, like Abraham Lincoln. It seems that the old saying, "there are no atheists in foxholes" is very significant in this case.

Glad to see you posting new and fresh ideas. Hope you continue to do so.

James

What a mind Jefferson had huh ?

Here, take a look at who is one of the largest evangelist broadcasting networks in the world , the $250mil Trinity Broadcasting Network of Orange County ...the place looks like a reconstruction of Babylon , as gaudi and a mausaleum as one would ever hope to see on earth.

They even claim people will be raised from the dead through their TV sets

Do you think Jesus is hiding somewhere in her hair

And Jim Baker , who fleeced his flock of $185mil was , you guessed it ...on the board of directors of Trinity <G>

Look also at the vows of poverty these World "Evangelists" take upon themselves over at Trinity Broadcasting ...one of the largest in the world:

$5mil and $10mil dollar homes in the wealthiest parts of Texas for these "righteous ones", hehe
demonbuster.com

Yes the devouted bringers of the "Holy Word" to the world's poor , they sure know how to live in luxury.

Vows of Poverty ? Why should they , they have Jesus to do
all that for them ....

and they are the "Elect" after all.<G>

Funny anecdote on Abe Lincoln , aparently he favored Episcopalians :

"Mr. Lincoln was entirely deficient in what the phrenologists call reverence [veneration].... I was once in Mr. Lincoln's company when a sectarian controversy arose. He himself looked very grave, and made no observation until all the others had finished what they had to say. Then with a twinkle of the eye he remarked that he preferred the Episcopalians to every other sect, because they are equally indifferent to a man's religion and his politics."
