I do NOT think it was a tea party that got out of hand. As I said, it is an essential part of our history. It was a Rebellion against Eastern control which was somewhat portentous of the modern complaint that the Federal Government looks after the East, and neither understands nor considers the West.

War is never a tea party. I never said it was, and I do not agree with the assertion.

Our discussion was whether or not it should be referred to as a Rebellion, an Uprising, or a Civil War. I think what I agreed to was that I had no quarrel with the use of "civil war", but that I preferred the more traditional terms of "Rebellion", Uprising", and such.
