This is perhaps the most frightening thing I have read on this thread given the source

The most frightening thing about this thread is I now fully understand how the world must have stood by and not lifted a finger permitting Hitler to rise to power.

Never really understood how society ever let that happen; now I do.

I recall Lindy Bill months ago commenting that if this incursion was not essentially locked down and controlled within a week that major problems would be unleashed.

I had hoped for a quick collapse, and we almost got one. But that's war. We are now methodically taking down the Iraqi Army. We could do it one hell of a lot quicker if we did not mind killing civilians and destroying the country. But that is not our way.
The "Major Problems," are not beating the Iraqis, they are the "Psy War" being conducted against us by our media. And repeated here by our anti-war bunch. The constant drum beat of "Oh My God" is tough for the troops and the Admin to take.It means the admin has to spend a lot of time constantly telling the Public that things are going well.

Give it a few weeks, and the war will be won. Then the drumbeat will switch to "we are not rebuilding it right!"
