Well we have plenty of armchair quarterbacks who never quick to judge the 19 year olds engaged in a war with guerrillas and women and children being forced into the line of fire. I have driven in countries with guerrilla warfare in occasionally hot zones with my family (Colombia). I can tell you that when I approached check points where teenagers held sub machine guns I approached very very carefully and did absolutely nothing to attract any attention. So perhaps the people in this van were totally panicked and completely ignorant of what was going on, but I would be not be surprised if they intentionally ran into the post.
