I still don't believe in the Flynn effect because I've never seen the data and have nevfer encountered a reference to the data. I do believe that the average mental ability in the prosperous countries is falling. Please read the speeches of Lincoln and his opponent Douglas. Then compare with the vocabulary of contemporary leading politicians. You can even look at the speeches of Franklin D. Roosevelt and ask yourself whether the contemporary audience could fully understand them.
