The masses are becoming manipulated dopes. Manipulation is occurring through well planned images, sloganeering, and emotional tugging. Balanced analysis is becoming a rarity, except for those who seek it out on the internet - but where you can't be sure which sources to trust. At least I know we can't trust TV news, so I only watch it occasionally to understand what kind of spoon feeding is going on there. It's pretty pathetic. The concentration of power in the mass media by large corporate interests and supporters of the new military industrial complex are leading this process. The bushistas love it that way. Political Correctness has been replaced by Patriotic Correctness. Still PC to me. This thread seems primarily anti-bush, anti-neocon, anti-imperialist, anti-mccarthyite, anti-authority's propaganda. And that's about as pro-American as you can get. At least the country that I knew, not the dark hegemonist it's becoming. Change is coming in 2004 though. Unfortunately, the next 12-18 months in the stock market and economy are going to shock and awe, in a plunge that will leave even the bears surprised. IMO.
