Pardon me for barging in here. I have been following this thread for a long time.

We do not know if torture occurred here - right now, there are no verifiable reports so we should assume that it did not.

However, your position is simply bizarre. So if someone is not fully educated in the "art" of torture and they are not applying the correct techniques, then they were not engaging in torture? Even if they were intending to inflict severe pain to punish and/or obtain information from the victim? Makes a lot of sense.
