This is one of those things that tear me a bit. The city I work in enacted a ban in restaurants a few years ago and it put several small Cafe's and coffee shops out of business. I would really prefer that the patrons decide whether a tax paying business is smoke free or not. Quite a few restaurant's were already smoke free pre ban and I'm sure forces would have made the majority smoke free at some point. Of course with that said being an ex smoker it is quite nice to not wake up in the morning to the reek of stale smoke on the clothes you wore the night before.
