I owe you an apology for discussing Germany as a significant arms supplier to Iraq Thanks, but none needed, and certainly not by you, a WW II veteran. Its time now to move on I agree. but its going to look rather silly to historians. since trade with New Iraq will be a bragging point Personally I don't care how Iraq is rebuilt - whether under UN or US control. I also don't mind if France, Germany and Russia are excluded from the reconstruction. What matters to me is the result - that the Iraqi people are not let down half way through the effort.
