They have now seen the palaces, statues, and other monuments to the dictator, and realize that these were built with the money that was so sorely needed to feed his own people. He cares nothing for his own people, and the world is waking up to that fact."Those people who are most like us are trying to get here" I can't totally agree with that. The poor Hispanics that sneak into this country annually, are not like us, but want what we have, and to make a decent wage to send money south to their families. Other high percentage groups wanting to come to America, are moslems themselves, who are as different as night, and day, from us. Asian Indians come here in droves, as do Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, and other SE Asian peoples. The ones that are most like us are the British, and other western Europeans, and very few of them are that anxious to move here. Obesity, depression, and asthma, are individual concerns that can be addressed by individuals with help from health professionals. I totally agree that the average American is letting himself go to pot, both physically and morally. Why anyone would prefer to live in a large, crowded city, is beyond me, but I have been a country type person all my life. I used to travel to Manhattan 5 times a year on business, and could not get out of that cess pool fast enough after the business was done. Even the Tampa area is too crowded for me. In the next year, it is the Blue Ridge mountains for me, and my wife.
