Post-war Iraq will be a colossal mess, headache and huge expense. The only ones who will gain will be the big oil companies who will be able to cut very sweet profit-sharing deals with whatever puppet regime we set up there. And I fear those oil companies will not pay much of any taxes on those profits. So we may get lower gas prices, back to 2001 levels maybe, but otherwise the US tax-payers get screwed again.

The only thing that would make the war worth it would be if we find a secret nuclear weapons lab and plans to bomb New York or something. Otherwise though our troops are awesome and the war is going well, the price-tag for liberating Iraq makes the whole venture quite questionable. Will give Bush high ratings for awhile, but the future looks mutrky and very expensive there.
