Lazarus, We have apparently surrounded it and have control of all exit routes but one as of a few hours ago. The battle itself is far from over. Let's all hope that it goes like it has in Basra...

well what kind of control do we have? We have the roads in and out of Baghdad, and some of the major squares, no?

I think you have to agree its at most a week before we have total control of the city. The resistance against US troops at the airport has been a few ragtag groups of 12 or so people.
