If you look at it logistically, the troops really don't have time enough to stop and take care of biological necessities, let alone do detailed searches for stuff that could be hidden anywhere.

Well, of course you're surprised. We've certainly discussed this enough.

I favored the original affirmative action, which meant to take affirmative action to reach out and attract minorities in contrast to the "no Irish need apply" approach which had been in place. I don't think we would have gotten past that sorry situation without the legal proscription of discrimination. Once affirmative action morphed into quotas, it became another kettle of fish.
