First, you did not answer the questions I asked you. Second, the examples you site are not displacing enough. You are still within your own culture. And thirdly, America did become a very different country when cars replaced horses. So in a way, it is not the same country. However, we can live with that because the change was internal and it came over time. We would not have been so happy about it if that had not been the case. Fourth what you are missing (or avoiding) is that we are not discussing the effect of any single product, but the simultaneous effect of a whole lot of them.
