Laz, if you want to vent about affirmative action as it is now construed, go ahead. I can read a magazine until you're done. If you want to find someone to argue the substance, you're gonna have to find someone else. I engaged only to discuss the history of the movement.

How could anyone know at the beginning what course this would take? Of course we weren't going to get a majority in the middle class in ten years. Stuff happens over time and systems adjust to it, for better or worse. People take positions based on what makes sense at the time the position is taken. What anyone thought ten years ago no longer matters. Besides, ten years brings different players into the game who have their own ideas. Your notion that the ten year factor proves fraud is a figment. Isn't what we ended up with bad enough without it having to be fraud as well?
