The people who don't want to be around smoke are not being rounded up at gun point and forced to go to some specific club or bar.

Tim, I don't think you meant that to be as cavalier as it sounded. If you did, then you have no idea of what it's like to never be able to see primo performances because you know that all clubs are incredibly smoky, to not be able to join friends in restaurants, to be relegated to outdoor picnics and entertaining at home if you want to socialize. For those who cannot tolerate smoke, as opposed to those who are merely annoyed by it, their choice is limited to being miserable or becoming a hermit. Some choice! Much more dire than the choice of a smoker to endure his craving or to step outside for ten minutes.
