Because of this, I think those betting on a war victory jump better take their bets off the table. Either that, or like you suggested, they better hope for Saddam's dead body to turn up. Until Saddam's surrender or his dead body appears, we haven't really won. When one of the two does happen, the markets probably have a Spring rally but I bet it collapses by summer. Current economic data suggest we are close to a double dip recession. Until the eco. indicators point conclusively upward, I think the markets will languish. FWIW. ted
