Hi JLA,

Thank you for responding in your own inimitable way :), not my way of course (as I only write to friends, unless provoked by outside posts, right) but Hey we are all different,.<ng>. I took you off ignore the last few days in order to help my understanding of people like you..

I was sitting outside just now, thinking of right and wrong and thinking of the simplicity of thought of people.. (not you of course, <g>).. But why for example, SH is such a devil now, not in the late 80's to early 90's when he gassed the Kurds, as we stood by, allowing it. A time when I for example campaigned against him (SH) through Amnesty International for his human rights violations...

Please help me understand when he did these and other atrocities, for example, when he WAS ACTUALLY using WMD, we done NOTHING?..

But NOW, when he has been actually been rendered impotent, his country, his people have been subjected to the most UNHOLY of bombardments known to humankind to this date.. Does it make sense in the MORAL world of things NOW to kill hundreds, maybe thousands, maim thousands of people: men, women, children to get ONE man and his TEN advisors that WE COULD have got 13 years ago so much more cheaply in human suffering..

When they, (SH, etal) were ACTUALLY conducting the atrocities.. (BTW, please do not use the "better late than never arguements", Okay?).. When we could have done something, BUT WE DONE NOTHING.. When the the cost would have been so much cheaper.. By cheaper, I mean human SUFFERING, not dollars or loss of American credibility....

Is a 100, 200, 300 .. ? innocent Iraqi lives (collateral damage) worth one Saddam life, that people here think is worth nothing and I wholeheartedly agree....

Logic escapes me.. BECAUSE I VALUE ONE INNOCENT IRAQI CHILD with his/her arms blown OFF MORE than Saddam's WHOLE DAMN life..

Thank you for your response..

Have a nice evening..

c
