Fox News purports to be "fair and balanced news". I believe that they are. Their coverage of the Clinton administration foibles was fair(IMHO). They were the only major media outlet that presented the stark truth of Clinton. Starting from nothing Fox News is now the leading cable network news outlet. They have more viewers than CNBC, MSNBC, CNN. They must be doing something right or the American people are very stupid.(I will not debate you in that last statement).

>>But Fox broadcasts to the entire world. Like CNN, it presents to the globe the face of America and its perception of reality, and it exports its dark side, the infuriating side that inspires so much hostility: the self-righteousness, the brutality, the pretension, hubris, and simplicity, the feverish faith in its moral superiority, the saccharine and infantile patriotism, and the deep self-persuasion that America is not only the most powerful of the nations, but also that the truth is always American.<<<

I disagree with this statement entirely. It is an opinion that can be refuted many times over, depending on your point of view. You know my thought: that America, by inlarge, is a great and good country. You may disagree, but facts and history will prove me correct.(IMHO)
