No, just pointing out a tale of three cultures. To us, the flag means freedom, and putting it on Saddams' face is a way of telling the Iraqis they are free.

It was apparently seen that way by Iraqis, as well. I heard them cheering, but they cheered much louder for their own flag. I saw many pictures of Iraqis in Iraq waving American flags, as well.

Outside Iraq, I read many Arabs voicing disapproval. They don't trust their own government, they don't trust us, but my sense is that they wouldn't trust us, regardless. They're just waiting for the opportunity to pounce on something and say, "you see? you see? I told you so!"
