Seems to have been a wonderful guy who wrote vicious columns.

"Vicious" is in the eye of the beholder, John. He detested the Clintons, both personally and Politically, and made no bones about it. Those that felt the same way enjoyed his diatribes. But he was a damn good reporter. As I, and people like Dowd, have told you.

Yes, Dowd can write. Pity she usually writes in a petty, personalizing style that is quite inappropriate to serious matters. She seems to have gotten hooked on it during the Clinton years, when she was often talking about style and politicking, subjects suited to her technique. Now she just doesn't seem to get that baby-talk is not really a suitable style to talk about matters of terrorism and war.
