Three weeks ago the Turks were quoted as saying that if one Kurdish boot stepped into Kirkuk they would be over the Border with troops. Amazing how a little ME asskicking by us changes things, isn't it? Personally, I hope we register a strong diplomatic protest at the Kurdish takeover of Kirkuk, and send in a few special forces troops to 'oversee' the situation (while the Kurds basically set up the government). Come to think of it, that is very well what we may be doing...serve the Turks right.
