> I'm certainly familiar with Rupert Murdoch

>>>The final corner of the neoconservative pentagon is occupied by several right-wing media empires, with roots – odd as it seems – in the British Commonwealth and South Korea. Rupert Murdoch disseminates propaganda through his Fox television network. His magazine, the Weekly Standard – edited by William Kristol, the former chief of staff of Dan Quayle (vice president, 1989-1993) – acts as a mouthpiece for defense intellectuals such as Perle, Wolfowitz, Feith and Woolsey as well as for Sharon's government.

The corners of the neoconservative pentagon were linked together in the 1990s by the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), run by Kristol out of the Weekly Standard offices. Using a P.R. technique pioneered by their Trotskyist predecessors, the neocons published a series of public letters whose signatories often included Wolfowitz and other future members of the Bush foreign policy team. They called for the U.S. to invade and occupy Iraq and to support Israel's campaigns against the Palestinians (dire warnings about China were another favorite). <<<

Rubert Murdoch is clearly the "spider" who made the propaganda "web" for the neocons.

<<Yes, I know you disagree with that statement but I posted the piece because I found it in an Israeli publication>>

There are many different factions in Israel as there is in the US and SA. To pick and choose sources does not prove or disprove facts. Facts are facts and they can be interpreted in the way that you are biased. Can you dispute the fact that the Brits and Americans are conducting this war in as humane a way that is possible. Are they not trying to minimize collateral damage as much as possible? Are they not trying to help the population with food and water as best they can to the detriment of their safety in many cases? Have you ever heard of an invading army passing out food to the native population?

Rumsfeld Cheney,Wolfowitz, and Bush are strong individuals with actions and principles that I think are correct. At the present time 78% of the American people agree with the conduct of the war. The Iraq people seem to agree with our actions. The American Iraqis had a rally supporting the President. What more can we ask for? To generalize the only ones that are not behind the President are the hardcore left wing radical Democrats and the Hollywood left and the New York Times and LA Times and Walter Cronkite. To have them on the opposite side is a blessing to me.

""Victory in Iraq will be a truly historic event, but it will be exceedingly weird and dangerous if America is turned into Sparta.""

I think they will be more of an "Athens"
