You deal with the 82nd and 101st Airborne. How long do you think Hamas would stand against them? Or the gov't of Syria? Not reasonable. Israel would have indefensible borders. The Arab terrorists would be able to bomb Israeli cities without little effort. Why does it need them? Those Arabs would soon face the combined might of several powerful nations. Their leaders would be executed for intiiating an aggressive war. What could they gain?Israel's biggest threat would come from the terrorists, who could now easily strike Israel. See above. How would the world effect this change of government? Looked at Iraq lately? How did we do it at trhe end of WW2 in Japan and Germany? If Hamas, Hezbollah and the rest of the terrorist groups are still strong forces, how do you deal with them? How do you deal with al Qaeda after 911?Most of these nations refuse to accept Israel's right to exist. Most of them are brutal dictatorships, who's words can't be trusted. You've got a long way to go to get them to act in a civilized manner. If they don't do it, they face invasion. Most of these nations refuse to accept Israel's right to exist. Forgot that part. The countries recognize each other, have diplomatic relations, and allow trade. Somebody doesn't like that? They have a talk with the 3rd ID. The next gov't agrees to it.Force Israel to pull back to indefensible borders and you'll need hundreds of thousands of troops guarding the border, and even that won't be enough. You don't need them there constantly. Is there a cop outside your house all the time. What they need to know is thye face destruction unless they accede. We need to have the coalition move in right now. We need to form it first. But ir might be A LOT cheaper than the constant trouble that has plagued the world for decades because of that area.An agreement with Arab nations, which are run by dishonest, brutal dictators would not be worth the paper it is written on. It's not an agreement, really. They are told what the conditions are for their continued existence. If a gov't won't police its territory, an external force comes in, overthrows it, and does the job for it. Israel shouldn't agree to this, and will never agree to this. Jerusalem is Israel's most important city. Then Israel is ultimately doomed. Israel only friend is the US. Inevitably, at some point the US will decline. ANd that's the end of Israel. And the US may decide before that that constant hassle with Arabs are not worth the price it pays. The Jewish Lobby in this country has a lot of influence, but it doesn't have anything like a majority of votes. You know, you are giving me the impression that for you it's Israel über alles. And I'm not antisemitic. I think Evil Vermin will attest to that.
