some history: when un voted for israel the 1st country that voted for israel was not USA but USSR.
I am aware of that. The US initially opposed the partition that took place.

n return for US' help Israel provides stability in the region.
EXTREMELY questionable statement. Most of the wars in the region revolve around Israel.

Israel also bombed iraqis nuclear reactor and prevented iraq from developing nuclear weapons.
Self defense. You don't get credit as a good guy for self defense.

And more recently, during gulf war 2, israel was watching US back against iran.
Was it? I heard of no such thing.
