You mean Tibet ? That is a rather complicated issue. Tibet was not considered a 'seperate' country even since the early Qing but part of it(China). As for wiping out its culture(you mean our current government since 1949), it is equally complicated. There is an on going policy to populate Han there but is it a designed scheme to wipe them out, I don't think so and their culture is well respected. I would say that our current government(communist) is rather peace loving(at least comparing to those of our ancestors) which you can attribute for a lot of reasons(like we don't have the strength to be aggressive etc.). We involved in wars like Korean but it was about ideology and I would say that both side lost their mind during that cold war period.
