Tom, It also proved how smart it is to disarm when the US tells you to do so. Sort of like checking your gat at the door when you visit Al Capone. <g>

>> Saddam didn't use WMD as his regime was attacked and destroyed. This establishes conclusively that he either did not have WMD or that he would not use them (since he had nothing to lose in this instance).

It establishes many things if we knew where they were we would not target the area correct?
If we did not target the area and knew there were weapons of mass destruction we could of forwarded the information to the UN. Then it is only obvious as a unified world protecting all people the world would of demanded the removal of Saddam.

One of the Iraqi people stated the game is over. Who won all the people that got out before the bombs fell. Bet you a nickle they weren't the working poor.

Virtual Reality in this case would of caused far less harm to both sides.

tom, i'm not a war monger and the VAST majority of the people who supported this effort aren't.

just relax with the meaningless rhetoric so we can discuss issues.

we don't have enough info to reach the conclusions you've cited.

it is one thing to homicide bomb in the enemies territory, quite another in one's own house. we know saddam didn't in his own "house," so to speak.

why? did he realize that the US military was so prepared that using them would hurt his side more than the troops? was he planning to use them but the orders were disobeyed by people tired of fighting for saddam? did the info minister feed saddam the same news he fed the world so saddam was unaware of the timing?

you don't know. i don't know. you may be completely right... or completely wrong. you have no obligation to be honest here, but i think you'd be better off if you were.

whatever the reason, i'm thankful they weren't used.
