Put me on ignore. If anything, I tend to get worse. I'm not the point. It's the lurkers who read your posts you need worry about. They soon conclude Evil has the same degree of credibility as you; he just tilts the other way. Crap from the OT DOES determine the attitude of many US kids whether they go to public or private schools. They get taught it in church and synagogue. If you haven't noticed, the OT is not taught in American public schools. Is it taught in public schools in ALL Muslim countries? Really? You picked Saudi. We all know that is one of the extreme cases. The original extreme case actually. Excuse me for not wanting a US policy that guarantees the destruction of Israel. I gave you one that didn't. You threw it away immediately. It appears to me you will not be satisfied with anything less than Israel as the ME superpower. And if Israel cannot achieve that on its own, you are quite willing to throw away the US in defending Israel. If not, and major war breaks out in the ME, at what point would the US be justified in pulling out or not intervening to save itself? I don't think that it would be in America's interest, in the war against terrorism, to ignore the other terrorist states in the Middle East. How about an experiment: we offer my deal to that region. If Israel accepts and the Arabs object, we then know clearly where the problem is. If someone agrees and breaks it later, we know where the problem is too. Christians and Jews are denounced as infidels. Moreover, Christians and Jews are presented as enemies of Islam and of Muslims. Therefore, Muslims may not befriend them, nor emulate them in any way, lest that lead to love and friendship, which is forbidden. Peace between Muslims and non-Muslims is not advocated. Instead, the Saudi Arabian textbooks, even grammar books, are full of phrases exalting war, Jihad, and martyrdom. There's no text in the OT denouncing other peoples and religions? THere's no text in the NT denouncing Jews? Wanna bet? There are many reasons "why they hate us". Our culture, our freedoms, our success. And maybe because we steadfastly take the side of their enemy. Offer them an evenhanded deal. Then let's see what happens. And if they attack Israel and the US has to go in and clean them out, so be it.
