Giving Clinton credit (or discredit) for creating the bubble does not take into account the mass financial hysteria that has to be in place for such an event to occur....Clinton, if he had been willing, could have only had marginal impacts on the flow of speculative funds into the market....And if you remember any efforts to "talk down" the market by Greenspan or any negative comments by analysts were met with broad public derision....

Clinton and Rubin created the best economy ever.
The dot-com bubble wasn't their doing. If only Bush had kept on Rubin and his people we'd be much better off now. The markets have voted no-confidence in Bush's team and agenda every since the beginning. Beating Iraq wont help our economy. In fact there's a stiff price to pay for it.
